"The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becoming holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2, 3:5
The Titus Brigade is our new mentoring program. We are hoping to encourage older, experienced homeschooling mothers and ex-homeschooling mothers to act as mentors to younger, less experienced moms.
We realize that some of you have moved on to other things and don't have a lot of time to devote to this cause. However, even a once a year panel discussion might be a very helpful thing for new homeschoolers. If you have a little more time, perhaps you could consider sponsoring an occasional "mom's night out" program at a local restaurant, or a park day.
Please help us get the word about "The Titus Brigade". If you want to develop programs in your own area, contact Mary Hood at [email protected]
There is a very easy, informal method of tying into our program and getting permission to use the trademarked terms "The Titus Brigade" and "ARCHERS for the Lord, Inc."®.
Please help us get the word out about this program. We're hoping it will grow into a national movement! New homeschoolers are being barraged with curriculum choices and urged to tie into formal, accredited programs. They need to be reminded of other choices, and that they can do a good job on their own in a relaxed, family-oriented environment.
If you'd like to help us contact other experienced homeschoolers who might be interested, you can download a letter from Mary Hood here:

If you'd like to receive a Titus Brigade t-shirt, like the ones the women are wearing in the above photo, give a minimum donation of $15 using this button:
You will be contacted via email to find out your size and mailing address. The shirts are currently available in women's sizes medium, large, and extra large. They tend to run a little small. They are made of pre-shrunk cotton, but we all know that they will shrink a little anyway if they are put in the dryer! Mary is about a size 14... she says that the large size fits her with no room for shrinkage, and the extra large is just a little baggy on her and has some room for shrinkage. If you donate and aren't contacted within 2 days, you may contact Mary with our contact form, or write to:
